2. Glen Ellis Falls

Take a short hike to Glen Ellis Falls and have a picnic.  Located in the White Mountain National Forest, this waterfall is a dramatic 64-foot full drop falls which is very popular with locals and visitors.

3. Honeymoon Covered Bridge

Build in 1876, the Honeymoon Covered Bridge is a historic covered bridge located in the village of Jackson.  The Paddleford truss design highlights the covered bridge’s design and gives it a distinct look.

This is a great place for a picnic or just a day out exploring.

4. Jackson Falls 

Jackson Falls is a popular spot to enjoy a 150-foot staircase of cascade of waterfalls.  It’s a great place to sit and relax in and around the falls.  Pools, chutes and natural waterfalls are throughout this area.  Jackson Falls has many shallow pools and lots of rocks to sit and admire.  It is the water park of the forest built by nature.

The falls is a great place for a picnic, to sit and take-in the swirling waters, a family photo op or to just relax and unwind.

Jackson Falls is located right off the Carter Notch Road so it is easily accessible.  There is limited parking so get there early before the crowds.

5. Story Land

Story Land is the perfect place to go in July especially for kids and families.  This children’s theme park is a major attraction in the White Mountains with its fantastic rides and shows.

6. Living Shores Aquarium

The Living Shores Aquarium is the White Mountains newest attraction.  It’s a great place to enjoy the marine creations both freshwater and saltwater.  They also have an aviary with tropical birds as well as interactive exhibits for children.

12. Arethusa Falls

Take a short hike and visit Arethusa Falls.  Feel the cool spray from this 160 foot cascading waterfall and swim in the Bemis Brook.  Swimming holes are a mile downstream from the base of the waterfall.
